The Sea Gypsy VI makes her home in the historic Annapolis Harbor about 30 minutes from Baltmore and Washington DC. The town of Annapolis makes for a great daytrip and is filled with fun shops, restaurants and attractions within walking distance of Pirate Adventures. Links to our favorite places are found below.

Naval Academy - The Naval Academy is a short drive across the drawbridge and is a fun place to take the children to burn some energy walking the grounds. Your little pirates will love to see the midshipman in their uniforms and the Sea Gypsy is within site of the Naval Academy for most of the trip so your pirates will be able to see where they battled Pirate Pete as you walk along the water.

Annapolis Canoe and Kayak - Looking for another way to get out on the water? Annapolis Canoe and Kayak is located in the building directly behind Pirate Adventures and rents canoes and kayaks by the hour.

Quiet Waters Park - If you are looking for a great place to have a picnic you can't beat this location! About a five-minute drive from Pirate Adventures, Quiet Waters is a beautiful park located right on the water with views of the South River and the Chesapeake Bay. They have a great playground and a fun dog park that you can walk by with your little ones.

Annapolis Maritime Museum - The Annapolis Maritime Museum is a short walk away from Pirate Adventures and has great views of the Chesapeake Bay and exhibits for the little ones including a lifesize Chesapeake Bay Workboat and a walk around aquarium. The Maritime Museum is open to the public Thursday-Sunday from noon to 4pm.

Dinghy Dock Scoop Shop - Want some ice cream after your trip? Our customers have been asking for it for years and the Dinghy Dock Scoop Shop makes it a reality! A short one block walk and you can have your fill of "Heave Ho Cookie Dough, Mermaid Mint Chocolate Chip, Rainbowfish Sherbert and other nautical flavors! The Dinghy Dock Scoop Shop should officially open the week of June 7th.

Boatyard Bar and Grill - The Boatyard is located about a block from Pirate Adventures and directly across the street from our satelite parking lot and the Dinghy Dock Scoop Shop. They are VERY kid-friendly and serve casual food in a nautical atmosphere. We send a lot of pirates to the Boatyard and they always have great things to say about the service and the atmosphere.

O'Learys Seafood - If you are looking for a "grown-up" dinner O'Leary's seafood is located across the street from Pirate Adventures and is the best seafood in Annapolis. We pirates would eat here every night if we could!
